Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress who is best popular for her work in the television shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her 2003 debut, she has shown her range in acting giving outstanding performances in television series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 as well as Under the Dome. In 2005, she gained attention in the first place for her portrayal of Anna as Anna in Assault on Precinct 13 The performance she made in the biographical film All the Way as the feminist activist Fannie Lou Hammer attracted her into the limelight by the media. Hind was praised for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television renewed the show for a fresh season.
