Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix demonstrated a talent for sports early, and discovered her athletic abilities during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt she was ranked within the top two places at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in just 10 weeks. In 2003, Felix graduated from high school having signed a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas before enrolling in the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. One year later Felix earned her first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting a junior world record by sprinting 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. In 2005, she became the youngest world champion of 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007 beating her former Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She consistently placed in the top three of every event.
