Abigail Leigh Spencer was born in the month of August, 1981. Her roles in films Cowboys & Aliens and The Haunting in Connecticut 2 Ghosts of Georgia Oz the Great & Powerful and in the television series Angela's eyes Mad Men Hawthorne, and Suits are among her most well-known work. She currently stars as Amantha Holden on the Sundance Channel Drama series Rectify. Abigail Leigh Spencer is an American actor who is active in television as well as in films. Her most well-known work was in her role on the drama series Rectify, as well as on the sci-fi series Timeless. A native of Gulf Breeze Florida she made her acting debut with a character in the soap-opera All My Children. In recognition of her performance she was awarded the Soap Opera Digest Award as an Outstanding Female Newcomer. In the following years, she was mostly a guest actor in a number of television shows. Her performance was praised for the character she played in the show in the role of Dr. Erin Jameson of Hawthorne. Her character slowly gained a huge fan base with her stunning look and incredible acting talents. Her first film appearance was around twenty, when she played in Campfire Stones. Jekyll This Means War as and Chasing Mavericks are other films in which she appeared. In recognition of her performance in Beautiful Now she received a Madrid International Film Festival Award nomination. In the TV show Timeless, she played the role of Lucy Preston, a history professor. Spencer has received positive reviews from critics about her performance in the sci-fi series Timeless. The actress was also nominated for a Teen Choice Award.
