Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican American journalist. Her employer is ESPN as a SportsCenter News Anchor. She began working for ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins was bi-lingual since nine years old, a valuable ability that allowed her to secure her first job in the production department at Univision in Miami that gave her the chance to work with the producers of national shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Her next job was as a Sports Reporter at CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. In 2009, she moved from Texas into Rio Grande Valley where she was a news reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision. Covering stories on the issue of immigration and drug trafficking from both sides of the Texas-Mexico border, she was an anchor for newscasts at 5 p.m. Spanish newscast a reporter and later anchor of the 9 p.m. news in English as well as a reporter again for 10 p.m. Spanish newscast. She was also frequently asked to serve as a sports or weather anchor. She was then anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. She was then given larger responsibilities. She was a reporter for The Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and the NBA Postseason and the finals for FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. She also hosted the local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. The show was made a anchor the sports segment for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. The anchor also worked in the same role as Primer Impacto on UniMas Network, and Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collins was a native of Veracruz, Mexico. They eventually moved to Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November 1985. Also, she has an older sister. In 1992 her family left Mexico and moved to Miami. In the course of a few months, her father divorced from her mother and she later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect whose name was Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died of kidney cancer in 2006. Her residence was with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime and was offered the opportunity of a job. Antonietta still a senior at high school but she had a clear idea of the path she wanted to pursue. So while assessing if Mount Union was right to her needs, Antonietta decided to go visit the university. It turned out that she was a fan of the campus and that the school had the program she desired. When she finished high school, she made the decision to attend the University and major in media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and the manager of WRMU, of which she is a member. They had a very close relationship. Her professor urged her to have self-confidence and was deeply moved by his passion for journalism.
