Molly was raised in Pennsylvania. Molly began her professional career at the age of 13 and was a part of Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. The Arden Theater production of Into the Woods the actress won an award called the Barrymore Award for playing Little Red Ridinghood. Following her Broadway debut, at the tender age of 15, she reprised her part and was awarded a Drama League Award. Molly was also part of the Broadway revival Fiddler on the Roof, in the year 2004. After that, she went to Princeton University and was a part of the Triangle Club. She graduated with a bachelor's degree the year 2008. Then she attended Princeton University, where she was a member of the Triangle Club and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in the year 2008. In that time she debuted in the role of Wendy Greenhut in Disney's College Road Trip. Her career path continued following graduation with several Off Broadway plays, among the most notable was End Days by Ensemble Studio Theater. Molly also worked for a television show as a character in Royal Pains as well as an HBO Pilot The Wonderful Maladys. Molly was a major part in a variety of regional productions including the The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee in 2008 at Barrington Stage Company and North Shore Music Theatre in 2008 and Westport Country Playhouse s 2010 production of The Diary of Anne Frank in which she played Anne. Molly was most famous for her character Ali in Paranormal Activity 2 and for the ABC comedy Last Man Standing written by Jack Burditt starring Tim Allen.
